AEK Betsson BC of the upset, came back from -17 with legendary Campengele and won the “double-header” derby!

The first “double-header” derby of the season… was painted yellow and black!

Putting in a dream performance in defense and attack in the second half, the AEK Betsson BC not only did he come back from -17, but he took the win in impressive fashion 90-70 over PAOK in the packed Klisto of Ano Liosion for the 8th matchday of the Stoiximan Basket League.

The absolute protagonist for “Union” was none other than Emphiondou Campengele, who, with a mythical appearance that reminded… NBA, took his team by the hand and led them to the upset and the fourth pink match sheet in this year’s championship!

The Canadian center finished the match with 30 points (11/13 from the field, 2/2tr.), 16 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 steals and 2 blocks in 26:39 minutes of action, amassing the incredible 48 in the rating system! Together with Campengele and Chason Randle he gave valuable help to Joan Plata’s team (21 points, 2 points, 2 assists) during the period when AEK counterattacked in the match.

For PAOK, who fell to 4-4 and saw their winning streak of three games interrupted, stood out Alston with 17 points and 15 rebounds, while Harrison (5/14 shots) added 14.

THE AEK Betsson BC started the game with Randle, Flioni, Netzipoglou, Kuzminskas and Cabegele, while PAOK lined up in the starting five with Harrison, Schiza, Fredrickson, Margariti and Alston. The Thessalonians entered the match better and led 7-3 in the 3rd minute, with Campegele tying the score a little later at 7-7 with two two-pointers of his own. By Campengele dominating the length and breadth of the floor, even hitting two 3-pointers (!), “Union” comfortably maintained the lead, and thanks to an 11-2 run in the last three minutes of the game, took the victory with final 90-70.
