And yet, it only ended 0-1but the job was done for her AEK!
“Union” came away victorious from its headquarters PAS Ioannina for the 12th matchday of the Stoiximan Super League. Doing… whatever they wanted in the first half, Matias Almeida’s team found the quick and “golden”, as it turned out, goal of Cumber in the 7th minute (terrible collaboration), but it was limited to 13(5) finals until the two teams went to the locker room. The second part was at a lower tempo, but was controlled by the “yellow and black”, who, for yet another game, showed a large degree of inefficiency, but without paying for it. From one beam for each team (10′ Pamlidis – 26′ Tsouber).
Thus, the doubles of Greece once again caught Olympiakos in 2nd place (27b.), being at +1 from PAOK, while they wait for a possible misstep by Panathinaikos (28b.) against Aris in the “Kl. Vikelides”. At the same time, they go with the best psychology to the crucial match with her Brighton next Thursday (11/30). On the other hand, PAS remained low, in 12th place with 7 points.
Preventive change for him Callens due to inconveniences. Fifth goal for him Cumber on the season, fourth for the league.
In… the minds of the coaches:
THE Thanasis Staikos lined him up PAS Ioannina with system 4-4-1-1 and Kleiman at home. Panagou is a right back, with the 25-year-old ace making his debut in the league with the shirt of Ioannina. Tsaoussis was on the left, while Pantelakis and Eramouspe were in the center of the defense. Karahalios and Rienstra are the central midfield duo, with Rosero on the right side of the midfield, Tsima on the left and Pamlidis flanking Balan in attack.
Keep it 4-4-1-1 for AEK The Matias Almeida. Stankovic under the posts, with Sidibe and Mohammadi on the right and left ends of the defense, respectively. Twins in the center of this were Vida and Cullens, while the corresponding central midfielders consisted of Szymanski and Pineda. Eliasson on the right in midfield, Gacinovic on the left, with Madalo moving alongside the promoted Zuber.
The match:
A strong start to the match for AEK. Matias Almeida’s team entered concentratedspiritually and regularly, with excellent pressing up high and traffic. Evidence that began to be reflected immediately with many finals and opportunities!
First “warnings” with Shimansky (2′) and Eliasson (4′), for the goal to come just at 7′: Terrible collaboration in time… dt for “Union”, with Sidibe to pass to Eliassonhe at once to Pinedafinal recipient o Cumber who controlled the area and calmly slotted into the opposite corner for the 0-1.
“Union” continued with its foot on the gas, creating a new moment in the 9′with Sidibe’s cross and his header Mandala.
The pace of the game was excellent. At the same time, the fact that the “bicep” was lined up quite high, allowed him PAS to think and look for her against, even finding his moments.
In such a case, then, at 10′ the hosts had a terrible chance and beam. In the first year, Stankovic put a terrible “stop” on Balanin second o Pamlidis he took the “rebound” and sent the ball to the crossbar in front of an empty net.
New efforts for AEK, with a shot outside the area from Gacinovic (12′) and Pineda (16′). A really stormy first twenty minutes for the doubles of Greece, who stepped into PAS territory almost whenever and however they wanted. At such a moment, in the 24th minute, Tzumber and Mandalos hid the ball, but the corner was their only gain.
To get to 26′when AEK… equalized at the posts with a terrific double chance: Excellent cross by Mohammadi from the left, the Cumber in the first year he caught a bad header, with the ball after Kleiman’s save finding itself in the beamto return to the Swiss ace who shot out from close range.
Jima’s shot in the 27th minute did not particularly worry Stankovic, who showed his reflexes again in the 30th minute with an excellent tête-à -tête with Rosero. In a non-happening phase finally for PAS, as after its completion the flag was raised (the replay was not good).
Another great double chance for AEK, at 31′ with Madalo and Gacinovic, with the half ending at 0-1 and the “Union” – which had 13(5) final against 4(2) of the PAS– may feel wronged by the range of the score.
The visitors went into the second half in the same way, with Eliasson breaking free at 47′ and to threaten, but without finding a focus. As happened in 52′ with Zuber’s direct free kick from an excellent spot.
The game, as in the finale of the first part, was now developing into slower tempo. AEK controlled the pace, finding moments with Gacinovic (64′) and the double with Szymanski-Gacsinovich in 68′.
The first final for PAS in the second part was marked on 71′with the head of the newcomer Leo to leave above the horizontal beam.
In the 75′ Matias Almeida proceeded to quadruple changewith Amrabat, Pissarro, Ponce and Galanopoulos replacing Eliasson, Mandalou, Zuber and Pineda respectively.
Nothing changed in the remaining minutes, despite the effort of PAS to claim everything it could until the final, but also that of AEK to find a second goal (with Amrabad quite appetizing).

MVP: It doesn’t take much when you score the winning (and only) goal. Of course, Mr Cumber -to whom the distinction goes- he did not limit himself to this, actively participating in many phases of the “double-header”, having a beam as well.
The whistle: Quiet afternoon for the diet team. Without the difficult phase and the serious mistake. In a yellow given to Cullens, there did not appear to be a foul.
The compositions of the two teams:

AEK (Matias Almeida): Stankovic – Sidibe, Vida, Callens (82′ Mitoglou), Mohammadi – Eliasson (75′ Amrabad), Simanski, Pineda (75′ Galanopoulos), Gatsinovic – Zuber (75′ Ponce), Mandalos (75′ Pizarro).
