Historic night for Doncic, but his triple-double fell short in Dallas

by

Lukas Doncic celebrated the arrival of his daughter with an impressive triple-double and a great record.

The Slovenian star of the Mavericks did it all against the Thunder, having 36 points, 18 assists and 15 rebounds in 45:59 minutes of action.

In fact, it was the 59th time he made a “triple” and the 3rd time this season, a performance with which he tied the great Larry Bird for 9th place in NBA history.

Doncic’s huge performance, however, did not come with a win for Dallas, as the Thunder prevailed 126-120 at the American Airlines Center. The home team showed up in the fourth period, where they went on an incredible 30-0 run to take the game, but Oklahoma managed to get the pink card in the end.

The visitors had eight players in double figures, led by Jaylen Williams with 23 points. Cy Gilgeous-Alexander had 17 points, while Kason Wallace and Davis Bertans each had 15 points.
