In several and important topics concerning its topicality PAOK Makis Gagatsis mentioned, on the sidelines of the Ordinary General Assembly of PAOK PAOKat the Toumba offices.
The vice-president and managing director of “Dikephalos of the North” stated that soon, within the next two months, there will be announcements regarding the team’s training center, while developments are expected for the stadium as well.
From then on, he refrained from commenting on the possibility of being a candidate for the presidency of the EPO, saying that the minds of everyone in PAOK are on the three goals.
He was then asked about the Savvidis-Loutsescu relationship, claiming that the Romanian has already made his mark on the club owner.
What Makis Gagatsis said in detail at the General Assembly of PAOK PAOK
For training center and new stadium: “There will be announcements soon, we are also in communication with the Municipality of Thermis. Not before the holidays, I believe there will be developments in the next two months. For the new Tuba there is nothing new, I believe there will soon be developments, this is a more delicate matter”.
For the letter against ERT: “We don’t have anything with ERT employees, they have also sent a letter, we are waiting for ERT’s response. They can make many excuses, even more tragic if they say that other teams put up a charter, if they wanted they would have sent, so they didn’t want to. Big shame, I don’t remember it having a precedent. There has been no approach from ERT since last Thursday. We waited for an apology, some approach, but nothing… So, we sent the letter and are waiting for a response from the president and the ERT board. For 400-500 euros, because that’s how much the trip cost, ERT decided it was right not to send it.”
On the topic of fan violence: “At the weekend there were incidents that do not directly concern us. Fan violence does not exist both inside and outside the stadiums. What happened in Voulgari is special. Saturday to Sunday, in the center, 15-20 people were walking around with an ax undisturbed. No arrests were made, they are independent of each other. We expect arrests to be made. They can’t walk around town with axes like that, they’re not people, they’re animals. We expect the police to do their job and make arrests. Anything else will be embarrassing. There can be no impunity. Violence will decrease if the police do their job.”
For Clattenberg: “At the next Board of Directors of the League, the issue of Clattenberg will be put to a vote, he will leave.”
For the match with Tripoli and the tickets: “Each ticket for the game with Asteras in Tripoli costs 20 euros. We got 1600, if we need more, it will be available at publishing houses in Tripoli”.
For the EPO: “My name has been heard in the past and for president in the League. It is too early to say anything, everyone in PAE is focused on the three goals of the team. I won’t say yes or no. It has been heard in the past, we have time, we will have a clear picture by April.”
For Ivan Savvidis and Razvan Lucescu: “There is very frequent communication between Ivan Savvidis and Razvan Lucescus. Their relations are excellent, the coach left his mark.”
On the matter of arbitration: “We have our eyes and ears open. We want PAOK to be treated equally.”
For transfers: “It’s going to be zero to three, like it does every January.”
For the world: “The world deserves credit. He has understood that this period is also difficult for the major shareholder, but he has invested a lot this year as well and it can be seen from the roster and the dynamics of the team.”
