Moron: “Ares are a fantastic team – I found it strange that in Greece they accept the flares”

by

THE Lorraine Moron is its great protagonist Mars in this first half of the Stoiximan Super League, scoring seven goals, being the top scorer of the team, but also of the league overall.

The Spanish striker gave a long interview to the Media of his country, in which he referred in the transcript data of him and how he got her decision to leave the Iberian Peninsula for the first time, but also for the issue with the flares in GREECE.

I was scared with the idea of leaving Spain, I would say I was scared but now I am happy. Aris is a fantastic team in a fantastic city. Of course I knew the team that played in Europe, but I didn’t watch the Greek Championship“, he initially reported and referred to his discussions with Manuel Pellegrini.

I discussed with Pellegrini and he advised me to come to Mars. I hadn’t left Spain, but I saw that my situation had similarities with that of my father, who was also a soccer player and always regretted not leaving Spain and seeing the world thanks to soccer. I did it mostly for that, to get out of my comfort zone. Then I talked to Julian Cuesta, who’s been here for a few years, and he said it was a good place to go out for the first time. And he hasn’t fooled me. I am satisfied».

For Saudi Arabia’s perspective:Yes, I had been told by my agent that he had something but I didn’t dare go that far. I’m very much a family guy and in Seville I had my family two hours away. In Las Palmas the adaptation was difficult for me, but I had the possibility to go to Marbella. In Arabia I wouldn’t have that option and it really scared me. Then I came to Greece, which is also far away. I chose Aris and I don’t regret my choice».

On the issue with the flares that surprised him but did not impress the Greek fans:I feel lucky to have played at Benito Villamarin (the new home of Betis) and after this experience there is nothing to surprise me. Of course, the issue of flares has caught my attention. For me it is something new, but it seems that it is allowed here. We played in the derby with PAOK and the stadium was full of flares while the game was stopped for several minutes due to the smoke. Personally, it seemed strange to me, but in Greece they accept it normally».

On his desire to compete in all seven goals he has scored:The only thing I needed was confidence. It’s something I think I have here. I think I’ve missed two years of football and I want to get it back. A few days ago I scored a goal against Panathinaikos but I left the field angry because I could have scored two more. I demand a lot from myself because there are better teams than Aris and strikers who have a much easier time scoring. I have to be efficient to be able to fight with them and stay on the leaderboard».

For his final efforts:Sometimes I even complain because I don’t have enough balls. Many times the coach tells me not to hesitate to make the final effort. This summer, 18-19 players joined the team and this makes us have a disadvantage compared to the rest. There was also a change of coach at the beginning of the season. There have been a lot of changes and I think now is where we are finding balance,” he answered and was asked about the many fouls he has received. “I have eaten a lot of wood. I expected it, but I thought the wood would be distributed to the whole team, not just me. The games are over and when I get home and sit on the couch I feel like I’ve been beaten».

On the relationship with Questa and the foreign players coming to Greece:Before Aris he was in Poland. There are places you don’t know and then they surprise you. For example, Thessaloniki reminds me a lot of Seville. Saving distances, great life, great and the club is good. It is normal for those who come to PAOK or Aris not to want to leave».

Finally, Moron was also asked about the goal of winning the Betsson Greek Cup:Here they prioritize the Cup. We are in the sixteen-team stage and they say that ‘if we pass them we will go to the final'” and I answer… “first we have to beat AEK and then look at each match separately even if we face an opponent, apparently, of lower potential. I want to say that even if we pass AEK, it will not mean that we will be in the final.

Obviously I’m also attracted to the idea of winning a title, but it’s not something I’m obsessed with. I am in a period of happiness after many years of suffering and this helps me to handle situations with positivity. I guess it will be the experience. I’m already close to 30».
