Petrakis: “We were only on the field in the second half”

by

Yannis Petrakis emphasized that Panaitolikos stayed in the match against Kifissia in the first half and “ate” eight finals from Kallithea and they lost all the duels, he believes that in the second half the mentality of the players changed and those who came in as a substitute helped, he asked to don’t be complacent and credit Karelis with time.

Analytically: “Last Sunday I said that being able to control emotions is a difficult process. We did not come to the field in the first half. The opponent had 8 finals, including one. At our headquarters. We didn’t get a duel. This is not the team we have in mind, nor the one from last Sunday.

In the second half, we changed our mentality and, based on how the opponent was playing, we moved fast balls. The guys who came in were very helpful. It is very important that we bring out character and mentality. Through these games I also learn many things on an individual level about each player and how to be less complacent. There is no easy match.”

About Nikos Karelis: “I’ve known him since I was a little kid, with his father we were teammates at Ergotelis. It’s only a matter of time before he finds his footing. We will bring him step by step to where he needs to be.”
