THE Panathinaikos welcomes at the Avenue next Thursday (14/12) the Maccabi Haifa in the last matchday of the Europa League, a match that will decide the third place and the ticket for the playoffs European Conference League.
As it became known a while ago, the Israeli team secured 800 tickets for its fans ahead of the match at “Apostolos Nikolaidis” and increased security measures are expected at the stadium.
It should be noted that Ivan Jovanovic’s team needs win or draw against Maccabi to participate in the European competitions in early 2024 as well.
Maccabi Haifa’s official statement:
“The club received around 800 tickets for Athens’ away match (14.12, 19:45 local time) with Panathinaikos after the Greek authorities approved the arrival of people from Israel.
Note that the National Security Directorate at the State Department has issued a Level 2 travel warning for Greece (occasional threat) and it is important to stay updated on the State Department website».
