With an eye on Thursday’s “final” with Ajax in Amsterdam, the AEK continues the work after the postponement of the competition. Matias Almeida sees the racing problems diminishing, since after Levi Garcia and Alex Callens, he entered the regular program yesterday and Costas Galanopoulos.
Now there are three pending cases, two… immediate and one that needs its time. THE Sergio Araujo he is getting better every day and it is estimated that he will be available for the Europa League game, while for him Jens Jonson there is no such certainty. The Dane continues the individual program and has some hopes of being able to join the team for the Netherlands, so that he will be available at least for a change.
The last pending matter concerns the Paolo Fernandez, who is counting down his return to action, but that isn’t expected until January. The Spanish midfielder, who suffered a ruptured achilles in the summer, has started training in the gym with the rest of the team and is gradually adding a ball to his schedule. Certainly, AEK will not be in a hurry to put him in the games and they want to ensure that he will be 100% ready.
In terms of transfers, there is no particular mobility in the ranks of AEK. The eyes are on the market for any interesting case, but it seems that in order to make an addition, some opportunity should be identified that should not be let pass by the “Union”.
