The heroic Ethnikos endured in Nea Smyrni, but Panionios remains… boss for promotion!

Panionios and Ethnikos remained tied (1-1) in the big derby of the 14th matchday fourth group of the Third National Team.

Piraeus stood heroically in Nea Smyrni, after leaving with a valuable point, even though they were left with ten players from the 48th minute, due to the dismissal of Fotakis with a second yellow card. In fact, they took the lead in the 57th minute, with a goal by Georgousis, but the home team’s response was immediate.

Two minutes later, Panionios made the final 1-1 with an own goal and kept the margin of safety (+5) which keeps them comfortably at the top of the group.

Progress found itself in a hug with a big scoring breath, but was tied (2-2) in the final by Aris Petroupolis and remained in the danger zone, while Apollon Smyrnis got its first victory of the year by beating Ermis Zonianon 4-2.

Reshuffles took place at the top third group, with Corinth being the big winners of the competition. Asteras Varis was defeated with a score of 1-0 by Afantou and dropped to third place, with Korinthos climbing to the top by beating Messolonghi 2-0 and Rhodes following after a comfortable victory (4-0) over Byzantium Megaron. Near the top of the standings remains Panargeiakos, who prevailed 1-0 over Panaegialeio, who dropped to fifth place.

Svorontas won 1-0 at the home of Tyella Katsikas and maintained their first place second group. It is closely followed by Ethnikos N. Keramidu, who won 2-0 against Lefkimmi, while Pierikos (4-0 Thesprotos) and Asteras Stavrou (2-0 Nea Artaki) remain at -3.

Kavala celebrated a sweeping victory against Veria with an impressive 6-1 and remained alone first in the first group.
