Its restart is far from certain Stoiximan Super League at the end of the week. And that’s because-according to Dikisportsthe referees were not entirely happy with the measures announced by the EPO and seem willing to continue their abstention, which led to the postponement of the action last weekend.
THE Professional Football Commission at its meeting yesterday, it took a series of measures announced by the EPO, which, however, do not fully cover the arbitrators, who will reconsider their position and will probably be called to vote today.
The message sent yesterday to all referees by their body shows the displeasure that exists with the federation which is aware of this and specifically states:
“Colleagues,
Following last week’s decision to refrain from our competitive obligations indefinitely, we remind you that for formal reasons we must declare our KOLYM on the platform for the next competitive week.
In the event that we have a positive development regarding our requests, we will reconsider our position through a vote in the next few days.
Please put the COT in by tomorrow at 14:00 at the latest».
The measures decided yesterday by the EPO are the following:
• The minimum fines for defamatory judgments and statements against/against arbitration officials are increased. The change will take effect immediately if it receives the exceptional approval of FIFA and UEFA.
• Restoration of the commentary of the disputed phases by the KED with the publication of the video.
• The EPO will assist in the legal coverage of referees and assistant referees on a case-by-case basis and after cooperation and consultation with the referees.
• It will be requested that a police officer from the Sports Violence sub-division be present in the locker room area at SL1 games at all times.
• From the next competition season, harmonization with the applicable UEFA regulations for the protection of referees in case of defamatory judgments and statements.
• The EPO will request a meeting of the referees with the Minister of State Stavros Papastavrou, the Minister of Citizen Protection Yiannis Oikonomou and the Deputy Minister of Sports Yiannis Vroutsis.
