The government’s decision to close the Stoiximan Super League grounds for (at least) two months after the latest incidents which resulted in the serious injury of a police officer, has left the majority of fans who are healthy feeling sad and outraged.
An incident from his big derby Panioni by National on Sunday for Third National comes to remind everyone that there is also the… other, “normal” football, with pure fans who enjoy it without extremes and can coexist with friends of other teams.
In the stands of the Nea Smyrni stadium there were 5,000 friends of Panionios and another 200 of Ethnikos. And not only was there not the slightest backlash, but on the contrary there was one great gesture from the hosts to the visitors.
At half time of the match, the panthers filled some crates with beers and snacks and went and offered them to the away fans of the National. They thanked them for their excellent hospitality and reserved to respond accordingly in the future.
The fans of both teams continued to support them until the end, they enjoyed it a very nice game that ended without a winner (1-1) and despite the high stakes, they left in the finale as friends sending a great message to everyone. Because we want this football and it’s up to all of us to get it at some point…
