Korkeakounas: “We overcame difficult situations and I’m proud”

by

Toni Korkeakunas emphasized that Helsinki played well in Toumba, but lost to a superior PAOK team, which he believes will advance in the competition, and praised Radulovic’s performance.

Analytically:

What does he take from his team’s presence in the group and whether PAOK is rightfully at the top of the group: “We take positive things from our presence in the two competitions, it doesn’t happen to us to play in Europe every year. I’m proud of my team, for coping with difficult situations like today, where we played good football, scored a nice goal, but in the end the best team wins.

PAOK is an excellent team of the coach who plays with confidence, had a terrible run and has quality players. He can go very far both in Europe and in the league.”

On Radulovic, even if he manages to keep him, as his name comes up enough: “We’re used to it, I can’t… fight to keep him. The main thing is to help the players in the team and then after developing them to sell them. It’s something that happens, many international players started from Finland.

When he came from Sweden he wasn’t that good, he developed, he matured and I’m proud that his name is being heard. The most important thing for a coach is to develop his players and that makes me feel good.”
