The national men’s handball coach, Giorgos Zaravinas, in the first stage of the preparation of the representative group, in view of its participation in the final phase of EURO 2024, January 10-28, invited the following 23 athletes: Papantontopoulos, Papavasilis, Tzimboulas, Savva, Passia, Kandyla, Karabournioti, Michaelidis, Tziras, Dombri (Olympiacos SFF/Xini Group), Kederi, Liapi, Papadionisiou, Arabatzi, Mallio (AEK), Th. Papazoglou, L. Papazoglou, Eleftheriadis (PAOK), Tosca (Bianco Monte Drama) ), Koukoulas (Ionian Affidea), Panagiotou (ASE Doukas), Tsakouridis (Diomedis Argos), Mposko (Henil – Spain)
Petros Bukovinas has obligations with Grosvalddan until December 26 and will be integrated into the second stage of preparation and the international tournament in Romania.
The three stages of preparation of the National Team:
1st: 18-24 December 2023 (Athens)
2nd: 27-30 December 2023 (Romania)
International tournament “Trophy of the Carpathians”
Romania, Greece, Slovenia and Georgia.
3rd: 2-6 January 2024
The national team will leave on January 9 for Munich, where they will face Portugal (11/1), Denmark (13/1) and the Czech Republic (15/1) in the “Olympiahalle” for the sixth group of the EURO.
