The obstacle of the hard-nosed Panseraikou surpassed the Olympicwhich needed El Arabi’s penalty-goal to leave Serres victorious and to be -1 from the top.

After the match, Carlos Carvalhal stated that he was satisfied with the progress of his team in relation to the previous match against Batska Topolawhile he spoke about the closed-door matches due to the government’s measures.

Carvalhal’s statements in detail:

Victory with Topola, victory with Panserraikos, is that something that satisfies you?

“I’m happy, it wasn’t the perfect game but it was a good game for my team. I think we overcame whatever difficulties we had and if I had to choose one of the two European games or the one against Panserraikos I think we were better now. In the sense that we have developed as a team these days and we have overcome the difficulties with the defensive operation of Panserraikos and I am happy about that.”

A comment on the absence of people from all the stadiums.

“It really seems strange to me, it’s not something common. The world in football offers a lot, it means a lot, but it is a reality and we have to accept it. We represent a big organization like Olympiacos and Olympiacos must always present itself at the best possible level as well as the people on the field and I think that’s what we did now.”
