Poget: “I would love to return to Sunderland”

by

He spoke again about his coaching future Gustavo Poget.

Our Federal coach gave an interview to the website “NewBettingSites”, talking about his tenure as coach of Sunderlandin which he sat on the bench since two years 2013-2015.

The Uruguayan emphasized that he maintains an excellent relationship with the club and is in constant communication with one of the owners, while clarifying that at some point would like to return in England for the sake of Sunderland!

In detail what the coach of our national team said:

“When I went there, they asked me to do two things. To keep the club in the Premier League, which I somehow did, and beat Newcastle. In the first seven games we got one point. Then we lost to Swansea 4-0. Eight games, one point. Next up was Newcastle at home, we won 2-1. That was it, everything changed. It was incredible. We played Newcastle three times that year and I beat them all three. I think every Sunderland fan would be fine with that, we were in the Premier League and beat Newcastle every time we played. The atmosphere was awesome”.

On whether he would like to return to Sunderland: “I would love to come back, obviously I can’t go now, but I have a great relationship with the club and one of the owners, Juan Sartori. We communicate once a month. If the synchronicities work out, one day I would like to go back”.
