The European court has vindicated the European Super League – It “paves” the way for a new Champions League!

by

A decision that is coming to change the data in European -and possibly also in world football- the European Court of Justice received. He ruled that UEFA’s “monopoly” does not exist which means it essentially gives the right to the European Super Leagueto proceed with the plans he had for the creation of its own league, its own… Champions League.

This is a decision which leaves no margin, ruling that UEFA and FIFA regulations are contrary to European legislation. So essentially, with this decision the teams have the right to choose to compete in another competition and not under the umbrella of the European Football Federation.

“We are fundamentally optimistic and have great confidence in the European legal system,” Bird Reichard, CEO of A22, the company behind ESL, emphasized before the announcement of the decision and added:

“It is an important milestone, because then we will know if the market opens. If the European Court of Justice allows clubs to gain sovereignty over their own organization, it will also be important. I am convinced of that.”

Now we expect great interest UEFA’s reactionand of course the teams, those who had pioneered the creation of the new European League.

We remind you that in the spring of 2021 the announcement was made of the… establishment of ESL, in which major European teams participated, such as Barcelona, Real Madrid, Juventus, etc. announcing the start of the project of a new Champions League, a closed league with the teams that will participate in it staying away from the championships of their countries.

But soon they were reactionsand with English fans coming forward and lobbying their teams to abandon this new move.
