Sloukas: “To respond to Armani’s toughness – Game by game we are better”

Ahead of the match, Mr Kostas Sloukas spoke to the NOVA camera about the great psychology that gave the “greens” the way of victory over the Monegasques, but also about the attention that the match with the Armani.

“The Monaco game is behind us. Armani is in a very good moon, they have beaten Barcelona away, easily beat Villerban. She is starting and finding a good rhythm, especially at home, so it will be a dangerous game, in which we definitely need the win.”

On whether the victory against Monaco boosts the psyche: “In the first phase, it particularly boosts our standings, we got a victory in a very difficult venue and against a team that was in the Final Four last year. From there on, of course, it also plays a role in the psychological field, we understood our potential. I think game by game we are better, better and better and the most important thing is to get results. I want to believe that tomorrow (and today), I’m optimistic that we can do something good with the help of our people.”

For the match with Armani: “I think toughness is the most important thing, to respond to their toughness, they are very good in defense, very tough. Let’s read the game, control the pace, control the rebound and I think these will tip the scales in our favor.”
