The Portuguese footballer, with his statements ahead of tonight’s match between the “two-headed north” and OFI in Toumba for the 16th matchday of the Stoiximan Super League, emphasized that the team should remain at the top if he and his teammates give the 100% in every match.

Among others, Adelino Vieirinia referred to the elements that will give PAOK the victory against the Cretans, a match which he described as very difficult.

What we must now continue to do is give 100%. To be focused and to know that every game for us is a final. This way we will be able to continue to be pioneers”.

Regarding the spirit with which PAOK is expected to face OFI tomorrow, he said: “We know it’s a very difficult game, against an opponent who has beaten us this season. It is irrelevant that this result came at the start of the season. The opponent has their quality and has certainly read our team well. So, we have to be serious and focused against him, in order to enter the new year on the right foot.”

As for whether the fact that OFI has a new coach on his bench and eight league matches without a win play a role, he pointed out: “There are certainly elements that will play their role. And not only these! The OFI players will play against PAOK and will want to give 100% of their strength. So we know what to look out for, and what to do to win. If we are serious and focused on our game, we will get the winning points.”

On what PAOK must do to reach victory: “Our team needs to be as it has been so far in the season. Organized in her game, with pressure up front to lead opponents into mistakes. In attack we have quality players who can make the difference, as they have done so far. We have to look at our own game, while knowing that OFI has players who like to have the ball at their feet. We must not allow this.”
