Takianos: “Proud of our team, after two overtimes it’s a matter of heart”

After a match-thriller that lasted about 2.5 hours and was decided in the second overtime, the PAOK prevailed by a score 88-87 of Tofa in Bursa, tying the BCL play-in series at 1-1!

Speaking after the end of the match, the coach of the “double head of the north”, Fotis Takianosstated that he is proud of his players, but also of the world of the team that was on the field, stressing among other things that winning in a game of two overtimes it’s… a matter of the heart!

“It was a life or death game for us. We had said that if we didn’t want to end our European tour here, we had to play as hard as possible and better than other times. Our motivation was the first match, which was very bad for us, we had a lot of problems and lacked concentration. But we didn’t deserve it and we knew it.

We said we’ll give it our all and after two overtimes it’s a matter of heart. Both teams did it and we are happy that we won. We also thank the people, they were with us again. Now we have the chance to give them joy again in our stadium, we want them close to us. We are proud of our team and our world.”
