The announcement states:
Regarding the reports on the appointment of the refereeing officials of the Olympiakos-AEK match for the 17th matchday of the Super League 1 championship, the Central Refereeing Committee clarifies the following.
1. The KED requests the assistance of several foreign federations in each matchday when foreign refereeing officials are to be appointed, and it did the same for the matches of the 17th matchday of the SL1 championship, Aris-PAOK and Olympiacos-AEK.
2. Only the Danish and Slovak federations answered positively.
3. Referee officials are selected by the foreign federation and not by the KED.
4. The chief referee, Mr. Freudfeld, receiving the two positive answers, respectively designated the referees that the federations of Denmark and Slovakia chose.
