On Thursday morning (12/01), the Executive Committee of the Hellenic Football Federation met in Thessaloniki, ratifying the decisions of the Professional Football Committee.
Among other things, the EPO validated the decision for the equal payment of the amount of 3 million euros from the UEFA Solidarity Scheme to the 13 PAEs of the Stoiximan Super League, who also they did not participate in the phase of the European competitions of UEFA during the 2022/23 competition season.
Let’s remember that last year, only Olympic represented our country in Europe, which means that the rest of the league teams of the 2022/23 season will receive 230,000 euros each.
The EPO announcement in detail:
“The Executive Committee of the Hellenic Football Federation, during today’s meeting held in Thessaloniki, took the following decisions.
1. Ratified the decisions of the Professional Football Committee, which, among other things, unanimously decided on the equal payment of the sum of 3,017,000.00 euros from the UEFA Solidarity Scheme for the 2022/2023 season to the thirteen (13) Super League 1 clubs which did not participate in the UEFA inter-club competition phase in the 2022/2023 season. Each of the 13 PAEs will receive the amount of 232,076.90 euros, and the PAEs are required to have an approved infrastructure development program in accordance with the relevant EPO Group Licensing and Financial Viability Regulation (article 19 – Infrastructure development program).
2. Dionysis Visvikis takes the place of the resigned Leonidas Thomaidis in the Executive Committee of EPO, while his place in the board of directors of SL2 is taken by Panagiotis Diakofotis”.
