Lamia-Panserraikos: Both for a return to victory

by

At “Athanassios Diakos”, Lamia and Panserraikos face off on Saturday afternoon (13/1, 20:00), as part of the 18th match of the Stoiximan Super League.

The match will be televised from Cosmote Sport 1 HDradioed by News Bulletin 247while there will be live updates from sport-fm.gr.

The hosts are in good momentum. Leonidas Vokolou’s team, after the draw in stoppage time of the match with Aris and the great “three points” against Olympiakos, last Monday (8/1) came to a draw 1-1 at his headquarters OFI. He took the lead very early (3′ Akunias), but did not manage to get the victory, which he wants to return to. In any case, however, the 8th (21b.), remains close to the 6th and the Star Tripolis (23b.), even if Atromitos has now overtaken it.

On the other hand, Panserraikos as far as the championship is concerned continues to be on a downward trajectory, being 10th with 15 points and +3 from the relegation zone. Now, then the home game 1-1 with the Kifissia, has gone eight games in the Stoiximan Super League without a win. This is where an immediate reaction is needed. Midweek, of course, Pablo Garcia’s team drew 1-1 against Asteras and, combined with the 2-0 win over Tripoli, qualified for the quarter-finals of the Betsson Greek Cup, where they will face PAOK.

It should be noted that Carlitos returned to Lamia’s 21 team, who overcame the problem he was facing, while for their part, Serrai did not announce an assignment.

Possible compositions:

Lamia (Leonidas Vokolos): Koselev – Simon, Papadopoulos, Cornezos, Amaral – Tzandaris, Nunies – Tsiloulis, Slivka, Martinez – Carlitos.

Panserraikos (Pablo Garcia): Hovan – Deligiannidis, Bergstrom, Thymianis, Peleas – Moreira, Staikos – Mourgos, Hadjistravos, Warda – Alexics.

In the context of the first round, Panserraikos had prevailed 2-0 thanks to the goals of Aleksic (66′) and Staikos (70′).
