The Celtics they put the Bucks’ rout behind them and dismantled the Rockets 145-113 to maintain the best record in the NBA (30-9). Jaylen Brown had 32 points, while Jayson Tatum added 27 more before being ejected with two straight technical penalties for protesting in the final period.

The Thunder are firmly tied for the top of the West (27-11) with the Timberwolves after their 112-100 win over the Magic. Cy Giljus Alexander continued his MVP performance with 37 points, 7 assists, 6 rebounds and zero turnovers in 36 minutes.

In a match full of absentees, the Pelicans they got past Dallas 118-108 led by rookie Jordan Hawkins who scored a career high 34 points. New Orleans lined up without Williamson, Ingram, McCollum and Murphy, while for the Mavericks, who got 33 points from Kyrie Irving, Doncic, Exum and Lively were absent.

The Knicks beat the Grizzlies 106-94 in Memphis who played without Morad, Smart, Jackson and Bain. Julius Randle led New York with 24 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists in the absence of the injured Jaylen Brunson.

The Bulls beat San Antonio 122-116 with Nikola Vucevic scoring 24 points and 16 rebounds. Victor Webanyama was absent for the Spurs, who saw Tre Jones score a career-high 30 points.
