The “Greek” civil war between Cameroon and Guinea is a draw – Emphatic premiere for Senegal

“Greek” civil war without a winner in the Africa Cup of Nations! Cameroon and Guineastayed at 1-1 in their premiere at this year’s event, with Arnold Mukudi of AEK and Agibu Kamara of Atromitos, to compete throughout the ninety minutes having an excellent performance and with the latter sharing the assist on his team’s goal.

Guinea, however, was the one that surprised Cameroon as only in the 10th minute, after successive counterattacks, Kamara passed vertically to Bayou and he opened the scoring with a powerful shot from close range.

Cameroon reacted in the second half, pressed and in the 51st minute after a beautiful cross from Enkudu, Magri equalized with a fantastic header for the final 1-1.

In the first match of the day, Senegal, the holder of the trophy, leveled Gambia 3-0, sending… a message to the other contenders that they want to do back to back!

It took just four minutes for the African champions to take the lead as Mane turned the ball over to Pape Gueye, who made it 1-0 with a superb dribble.

In the 52nd minute, Lamin Kamara made it 2-0 after a vertical shot by Ismaila Sarr, while in the 86th minute, with a masterpiece goal, he completed the triumph for the final 3-0.
