Lodingin: “The philosophy of the new coach is becoming “flesh and bones” – We have very high chances of qualification”

Convinced that Panathinaikos has great chances of qualifying against Olympiakos, is Yuri Lodgin. The experienced goalkeeper of the “clover” with statements to the camera of Cosmote TV, in view of tonight’s rematch against the “eternal” opponent, spoke about the importance of the game, but also about the new philosophy of the “greens” under the instructions of Fatih Terim,

Among other things, Yuri Lodygin commented on Panathinaikos’ new way of playing, stressing that although it is “difficult”, the team’s players should follow it.

Yuri Lodygin’s statements to the Cosmote TV camera in detail:

For the derby with Olympiakos: “You can have two results in which you don’t lose. Either you win, or there is a draw and you advance to extra time or penalties. For the game, I think with time we improve and become better. The new coach’s philosophy is slowly starting to take shape and I believe that we have a very good chance of going through, not Olympiacos.”

On the coach’s new philosophy and how he is adapting: “After so many years of being in football, each one of us, the players, the goalkeepers, all of us, have been with many coaches. Each coach has a certain way of playing, of functioning. And that’s the way I’ve gone, I’ve gone through such a stage where you need to be high, where you need to be a “libero”.

Generally me as a goalkeeper, I’m an attacking goalkeeper and I’m used to playing high, it’s nothing new. Yes, it’s difficult, everything is judged on a fine line, let’s call it that… Go out, don’t go out. It is something that the coach asks for to have pressure and high. What we have to do is to follow the plan, as best as we can of course and to be ready at any moment, either me as a goalkeeper, or the defenders, so that we can fall when necessary.”.
