The handball department of AEK announced the strengthening of its technical team.
Specifically, Mr Diogo Castro will be the direct partner of the new coach of the “yellow and black”, Frédéric Bouzon.

AEK is pleased to announce the start of the partnership with Diogo Castro. He was born on April 9, 1982 and will be the direct partner of the coach of the Club’s men’s handball team, Frédéric Bouzon.
Diogo Castro has a lot of experience at club level, mainly in his home country, while in Europe he has worked at Cherbourg HB and Rapid Bucuresti Club. At national level, he has worked for a number of years with the Spanish National Team, with whom he won the 2018 and 2020 European Championships, the silver medal at the 2022 European Championships and the bronze medals at the 2020 Olympic Games and the 2021 World Championships. He has also worked for the Brazilian National Team, with which he also participated in the World Championship and Olympic Games, as well as the Maltese National Team.
Diogo Castro, speaking to aek.gr, said: “I am really proud to be a member of such a great and at the same time historic club. It is incredible! Also, I’m very happy to be on the same team as Fred (frederick Bouzon). I’m always looking forward and waiting to see what we can achieve together.”
