His agent, Rami Abbas-Issa, reserved a bad word for Mohamed Salah. The latter claimed that the Egypt international’s injury at the Copa Africa is more serious than first estimated by the North African country’s football federation, with the Liverpool striker out for the next month.

The 31-year-old ace has returned to Liverpool for recuperation and tests have shown he will need more than a week to recover, contrary to what his compatriots claimed.

“Mohammed’s injury is more serious than we first thought and he will be out for 21-28 days, not two games. His best chance of participating in the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations is to undergo intensive recovery in the UK and return to the squad when he is ready,” Abbas tweeted.
