In detail, the announcement:

“PAE Levadeiakos is pleased to announce the acquisition of international Cypriot midfielder Ioannis Kostis. The 23-year-old central midfielder returns to familiar grounds, having played for our team in the second half of the 2020-21 season as well. The footballer was released today by Olympiakos and Levadeiakos hastened to agree with him, signing a contract until 2026.

For the previous four years, Ioannis Kostis belonged to Olympiakos, who had bought his rights from Nea Salamina. This is, after all, one of the most important talents that Cypriot football has shown in recent years.

He has performances from both the Cypriot league and the Greek Super League, having also played for Larissa.

In the last two and a half seasons, the international midfielder competed in the Superleague 2 championship with Olympiakos B, recording a total of 54 appearances with 13 goals and 8 assists to his credit.

Ioannis Kostis has competed in all age groups of the Cyprus national team. In fact, he made his debut in the first team at the age of just 19, making 10 appearances to date.

In our team, he will compete with No18 on his shirt.

Ioannis, welcome back to the family of Levadeiakou! We wish you health and many successes.”
