by

Ahead of his upcoming fight Mars against the Kifissia (27/1, 20:00), o Akis Manzios he spoke about the hopes of the “yellows” in the league and the Cup, while he revealed that his team expects transfer support.

In detail what he said to the NOVA camera:

On how the victory with Niki Volos positively affected the team: “It was a game we wanted to win and have a good score for the second leg. We made it. Any victory brings us a good psychological mood, especially in the institution of the Cup, where we aim to reach the end”.

On whether this victory helped the team bounce back after the loss to Olympiakos: “We cannot say that with a defeat the team lost its concentration. Yes, it was a game we were not good at and we lost fairly. From there, however, we move forward, as we must do after victories. Especially now, when the games are too many and continuous, but also demanding, with a lot of travel.”

For the match against Kifissia: “We have to be serious, disciplined and hungry to win. No game is easy. None will spare us. We have to give our best every game and that’s what we have to do now. We have to approach this game seriously. Let’s see which players are in the best condition. There will definitely be some changes in the starting line-up.”

On whether he considers the cup rematch to be a trap for the “yellow and black”: “The cup is a goal that the whole team wants us to achieve. From there, however, the league games are continuous and there are many more. We can’t prioritize the Cup right now, when there’s a league game ahead. We are only interested in the match with Kifissia”.

On the battle that Aris is fighting to enter the top four of the league: “We have many difficult games ahead of us for the championship. We also have the playoffs, so we have a long way to go in the league. It is too early to say as of now that something is over.”

For the possibility of transfers:We are waiting for football players to come. Discussions and contacts are being made by the administration. Day by day, we are waiting for the players to come.”
