In an amazing match, Bayern beat Baskonia in Munich 112-109 in overtime (rec. 94-94) for the 24th game of the Euroleague and left them behind in the “hunt” for the top eight, making them a surprise, until the next , of the competition, and rising to 7-17.
The Bavarians reached +4 in the first half, maintained a lead throughout the match, reached 94-85 in the last two minutes, but there the Basques tied it at 94-94, a score that led to the extra five minutes, where there with more composure the Germans reached the final victory.
Ibaka contributed more to this with 17, Lucic with 17, Harris, Francisco with 13 and Bolmaro with 12 points.
For the Basques, Howard stood out with 27 points and 7/12 three-pointers, Miller-McIntyre with 20, Costello with 18, Marinkovic with 16 and Moneke with 13 points.
The match

Harris’ home run made it 79-74 and Francisco’s 3-pointer made it 82-76 at the end of the quarter.
Bayern maintained +6 to +8 at the start of the fourth period, but Lucic’s three-pointer made it 89-80. Ibaka took the offensive initiatives again and brought the 91-83 and 94-85. There, the many rebounds of the Basques brought the surprises for the 6-0 run for 94-91 with 30 minutes to go. Miller-McIntyre’s 3-pointer brought the 9-0 run and 94-94 at 3”. Obst and Miller-McIntyre missed the final 3-pointers on either side and the match went into overtime.

Lutić made it 107-104, Marinkovic’s three-pointer tied it 107-107 and Wyler-Bubb’s made it 110-107 at 16”. Theodore’s shots were down to 110-109 at 9”. Marinkovic fouled Gifai, who with the two shots he made, made it 112-109 at 6”. Marinkovic missed a three-pointer and Baskonia fell “victim” of surprise.
