“Goodbye to the dream” fighting Milonas

Milonas is out of European continuity. The Black and Greens lost 2-3 sets to Lüneburg in the Persian Cross in their second CEV Cup men’s volleyball quarter-final and, combined with a 0-3 set loss in the first leg in Germany last week, are out of the semi-finals of the event.

The Nea Smyrni team, despite being down 1-0 in the set, made a sustained counterattack, taking the second and third sets. Lüneburg, however, with her service “weapon” found solutions and gained a big lead from the start of the fourth set, which gave her the advantage for 2-2.

Afterwards, the German team secured qualification to the semi-finals, where they will face Arkas.

Lüneburg had 8 aces and big stars Ketrzynski, Elser with 23 and 19 points respectively.
