Very happy to Olympic and in its role, said Tyler Dorsey.

The international guard stressed that he likes the pressure, while he stated that from the day he got the Greek passport he was sure that one day he would play for a team from our country.

«Someone who had once helped me had told me that with the Greek roots I had, I could get a passport. Everything happened very quickly. I was immediately ready to play for U19. I immediately traveled to Greece and stayed there for a few months, where I integrated with the team. Since then, I have an identity card and a passport and I was sure that one day I would play for a Greek team“, Tyler Dorsey initially stated on the Euroleague website.

For his role at Olympiakos: “Everyone’s journey is different. I wanted an even bigger role compared to last season, as I want to improve every year. Every year I want to add more pressure to my shoulders. Pressure for me is not pressure. I’m just playing. But, I accept my role. I’m glad to be here and I’m glad that people expect me to take on this role. It is a blessing and a great opportunity for me».

For what he wants to achieve with the team of Piraeus: “I definitely want to play in the playoffs. I definitely want to experience this atmosphere and feel the intensity of the games. Unfortunately my first year at Maccabi was interrupted by a coronavirus and I think we could play. In the second year we did not succeed. I want to feel the playoffs. I have not played there in my four years. This is my fifth year and it is time for me to feel the environment of the playoffs».
