The Board of Directors of the Hellenic Philatelic Table Tennis Federation announces that Xenia Stathis has been relieved of her duties as general secretary of EFOEPA. In his first announcement, on 09/02, he had expressed his displeasure at her choice to publicly make serious complaints without informing the Board of Directors beforehand, then this displeasure was translated into a motion of censure against her and it passed to the extraordinary board.
The Board reminds that a three-member committee has been set up to investigate in detail the complaints of Xenia Stathis and clarifies that the motion of censure in no way affects this process.
In detail, the announcement of the Federation administration:
“The Board of EFOEPA, during yesterday’s extraordinary meeting, accepted the motion of censure of the majority of its members against the general secretary, Mrs. Polyxenis Stathis, relieving her of the duties of the General Secretary.
The action of Ms. Stathis to publish very serious complaints on a sports website before the Board of Directors became aware of it and not having been informed about it, as falsely stated by the specific publication, was judged to be vicarious, does not serve the interests of the sport and was the one that led to the motion of censure .
As the Board of Directors has already announced, the complaints of Mrs. Stathis will be investigated in depth and the motion of censure does not affect this process in any way. We remind you that a three-member committee has been appointed, which will gather all the required data, in order to submit them to the Board of Directors, so that the latter can make the final decisions.
Ms. Stathis remains a member of the Board of Directors of EFOEPA”.
