The coach of Piraeus made his first comment about Olympiakos’ draw with Maccabi Tel Aviv, Jose Luis Mendiliber.

“I don’t know the team very well, nor the players. In the qualifiers it won’t be easy, we have to be very careful”was his initial comment on the draw.
“We have to think that things have gone well, there is room for improvement. The opponents will be more difficult and bigger, but we have to improve both on a team and individual level. Everyone is pretty much ready to take on anyone.”
In yesterday’s match against Ferentsvaros, the Olympiakos fans asked for the European one, with Vasko commenting: “That’s the bad thing. When things don’t go well we think everything is black, when you win you want everything. Step by step, we have to focus on the league match and we will see. Step by step, I believe we will move forward.”
He then referred to the fact that the first match is at Faleri Stadium: “In theory it’s bad. The second game must be played at home to have the support of the fans. For me it doesn’t matter either, we will try to play well in both places”.
