Panionios announced the acquisition of Tyrone Harris

Transfer support in the guard positions for Panionio.

The New Smyrna team announced the acquisition of the 33-year-old American guard, Tyrone Harriswhich will replace him Jean Louis who suffered a fractured metatarsal and will be out at least eight weeks.

“I am happy to be in Panionios and I will do everything in my power to help the team achieve the goal of returning to the Basket League, wherever it belongs. I will give everything in defense, in attack, in whatever is asked of me“, said Harris in his first statements on the website of the “Blue Reds”.

The 33-year-old started the season in Pristina of Kosovo scoring 9.5 points, 3.2 assists and 4.3 rebounds with 38% on 3-pointers, while he continued in the Serbian Slogan with 12.9 points, 7.9 assists, 3.3 rebounds and 43% on three-pointers.

“KAE PANIONIOS announces the reaching of an agreement with the American guard, Tyron Harris.

Harris will replace Berrick JeanLouis who suffered a serious injury (fractured metatarsal) in the match against Coroivos Amaliadas and is expected to be sidelined for eight weeks.

The American player was born on 11/13/1991 in Houma, Louisiana but his family was forced to move to Ohio due to Hurricane Katrina.

He graduated from West Carrollton High School and played in college at Edison State, Southern State and Columbus State.

His professional career started in Europe from Gevgeli (Best), then he competed in Morocco (Fez), returned to Skopje and Shkupi (2017) and then moved to Bosnia (Sloboda Tuzla).

Pelister Bitola, Akademija and TFT in Skopje were the next stops in his career. With TFT he was MVP of the Balkan League in 2021.

This year he competed first in Pristina (Kosovo) and then in Serbia with Sloga. He averaged 9.5 points-3.2 assists-4.3 rebounds on 38% shooting in Kosovo and 12.9 points-7.9 assists-3.3 rebounds and 43% shooting in Serbia.
