Christos Conti’s team won 3-1 OFI in Panthessalikos for its 25th matchday Stoiximan Super Leaguein a game where he fell behind but had the mental reserves to pull off the turnaround and get a valuable “three points” in view of the sequel.

THE Larson opened the scoring for the Cretans with a wonderful goal, however, the hosts reduced it with an own goal by Vouros and in the second half they took the lead, initially, with Sielewhile o Bertogliowho helped offensively with his entry, hit the third goal.

So the Marble climbed to 11th place, overtook Panaitolikos, who competes with Olympiacos, and with 20 points is +2 from the danger zone. On the other hand, Mr OFI remained in 10th place with 24 points and is +6 from the relegation places.

In the… minds of the coaches:

With a 4-2-3-1 formation, Volos was lined up by Christos Kontis. Kovacs in goal, with Kalogeropoulos and Sielis in the stoppers and Alhos on the right end of the defense, while Mygas was on the left. De Camps and Tsokanis in the midfield, with Trouillet in the role of staff midfielder and Asechnoun (left) and Koba (right) on their wings. Garcia is the only promoted to the top of the attack.

On the opposite bank and Traianos Dellas chose a 4-2-3-1 formation for OFI. Bowman under the posts, with four in defense from right to left of Larson, Vouro, Lukao and Abada. Meyado and Glazer in the midfield, with Baku (right) and Riera (left) on the sides, while Neira moved behind Felipe.

The match:

The first minutes of the match were identifiers, with OFI willing to hold and move the ball. The first quarter ended without any phase in the two homes, with the Cretans, however, opening the score in the 13th minute! Baku didn’t make a good turn in the area, Mygas drove on Neira who laid in Larsonwho with wonderful missed shot with the left he opened the score for 1-0.

The visitors seemed to press better after the goal, having the mentality, with Christos Conti’s team unable to look threatening. Nevertheless, its first phase came in the 18th minute and it was from a free kick by Ashenoun, which Bowman cleared in a corner. Before the end of the first twenty minutes, OFI had received two yellow cards (17′ Glaser, 19′ Neira), while the home team saw the first one in the 25′ for marking Trouillet on Neira.

The home team tried to increase their intensity, in the 27th minute Ashenoun stepped into the area and broke to Garcia, who was unable to make contact with the ball and in the 31st minute they brought the game into balance! Specifically, from a corner taken on the left, the ball was placed outside the area to De Campswho took the shot, the ball went against Wax (ruled as an own goal) and ended up in the net for 1-1.

From then on and until the end of the first half, the game did not have another phase for the two home teams, with Traiano Della seeing Neira leave with a forced substitution in the 40th minute, with Jimenez taking his place. Thus, the two teams went to the dressing room with 1-1, in a first half with few phases, neutralizing each other and many duels.

More spectacularcompared to the first, the beginning of the second part, with Bertoglio – who had come on as a substitute – to take the shot in the 48th minute but it was weak and Bowman cleared. In the 53′, OFI threatened with a static phase, as from the corner executed by Abada, Meyado took the header and put a curve to the ball, which, however, went just past the left post of Kovacs.

The two teams tried to take advantage of the many static phases and Volos in the 60′ he made it! The foul on the right was committed by Asechnoun, o Sielis he was in the right spot and scored 2-1 with a header. Dellas tried with his changes to improve his team offensively, but without seeing the Cretans as a threat.

Volos whenever he came forward was becoming menacing and in the 70th minute he managed to make it 3-1! At the limits of the area o Bertoglio he took the ball, eluded Vouros and executed Bowman, sending the ball into the net, with the Argentinian changing his team for the better in attack. OFI then tried to enter the match, but without threatening Kovacs’ goal. In the 84th minute, Jimenez’s shot was countered and went for a corner, while on the other hand the home team wasted time and in the end I got a “three point”-gold for staying in the category!

MVP: THE Bertoglio entered the game at the start of the second half and, to a large extent, changed Volos offensively. He was constantly taking attempts, moving between OFI’s defenders and in the 70th minute he scored a very beautiful goal, which simplified the facts for his team’s victory.

The whistle: THE Andrianus he was very strict in the disciplinary, counting five yellow cards in the first half. He “lost” some phases in the second part, but overall he didn’t make a big mistake, in a game he didn’t have to manage any significant difficulty.

The compositions of the two teams:
