Time for semi-finals in the Volley League! After an extremely interesting regular season, the ranking of which was decided on… the thread, it’s time for the semi-finals!
Panathinaikos, Olympiacos, Milos and PAOK will be thrown into battle against the background of qualifying for the major finals. The “greens” as regular season leaders have the home advantage and will face the most interesting pair in the “double-header of the north”.
It is the 8th time in history that Panathinaikos and PAOK will resolve their differences in the semi-final stage of the playoffs, with the “clover” having tradition on its side with four qualifiers against three of the “two-headed team of the north”.
The first serve of the match will take place at 19:00 in Metz with its telecast being made by the PAO TV platform.
We remind you that this season Panathinaikos is 2/2 against PAOK after winning 3-2 in Thessaloniki in the first round and 3-0 in the corresponding match of the second.
An important match but with a clear favorite in the other semi-final of the playoffs! About two hours before the derby, Olympiacos will welcome Milos to Rentis in continuation of the match between them in the last game of the regular season.
Daniel Castellani’s team will attempt to defend their home ground and qualify for the finals with two more wins, but also to maintain the undefeated record within the “walls” by Sakis Psarra’s impressive team.
In 15 matches in the past, Olympiacos leads Milonos 14-1.
The winger of Olympiakos Spyros Chandrinos stated: “We are entering the final stretch of the championship, in the playoffs, starting tomorrow against Milos, who has shown a competitive face so far, but we are Olympiacos and we will do everything to bring the positive result.”
Milos coach Sakis Psarras said “After a series of excesses we have the right to think about one more. We will play freely with the initial goal of breaking Olympiakos’ headquarters. Milos has never beaten Olympiakos at home. A few days ago we came very close. We can only hope that we can succeed. All the players are in good condition, there is a positive atmosphere and excellent morale and we are determined for everything.”
