Philip Petrusev spoke about the upcoming game between Olympiakos and Panathinaikos AKTOR for the 29th matchday of the Euroleague (13/3 19.45 Novasportsprime).
The tall Serbian is one of the top players of Bardzoka’s team in the 5-game winning streak in the Euroleague and he declared that he is ready for Thursday’s game, stressing that he does not expect many differences compared to the Cup final.
In detail what the ace of Olympiakos stated:
“I don’t think the match will be very different from the one in the Cup final.
Obviously now we will play in front of our fans. I think that will be an advantage for us. We need to see what we did wrong in the previous game. Especially offensively we have to play better. To improve some small things, but in general it won’t be much different.
I see it on the floor, with the fans in the stadium or in the streets. They care more about the derby than other EuroLeague matches. I think I know very well what this game means to everyone.
I think all matches are important for home advantage. Tomorrow might be a little more important, because we will have the upper hand in case of a draw with Panathinaikos, but the other games also count, because if we don’t win them, tomorrow’s result won’t matter that much. Every match is important, but tomorrow maybe a little more.
I don’t know, I wouldn’t lock any Panathinaikos player in the locker room. “Sometimes teams play better with less rotation, when some players play more minutes, so I wouldn’t lock anyone out.”
