BBB 24: Tadeu Schmidt’s scolding was Globo’s fear of losing control of the reality show

The scolding that Tadeu Schmidt gave the participants of BBB 24, especially Leidy Elin and Davi Brito, had a very curious impact on social media after the early hours of chaos last Tuesday (13).

In his speech, Tadeu reprimanded Leidy for throwing his competitor’s clothes into the house’s swimming pool, and criticized Davi for thinking about heavy revenge, which could cause everyone to lose control. “This is not the BBB we want to see,” said the presenter.

Within the reality show and on social media, the speech sounded like an incoherence, since the Globo program’s management had said a week before that everything on the program could be done, within the limits of the rules that were imposed.

The big issue is that it was understood behind the scenes that BBB 24 could become a zone of total chaos. A serious reaction from Davi could result in aggression from Leidy Elin, and vice versa. This would displease advertisers.

Another point is that there was fear of a possible mass expulsion for breaking the rules. BBB 24 only ends in just over a month, and has commercial commitments to deliver.

The plan is for the last 30 days to have a similar rhythm to the first weeks, which were done in “turbo mode”. Wanessa Camargo’s departure did not hinder the initial ideas.

There is a fear at Globo that the program will go downhill, with a strong decline, which is not interesting for advertisers, in addition to being rejected in public opinion polls carried out by the broadcaster.

Taking a step back in this sense was unfair to Leidy Elin and other participants, but it was necessary to keep the reality show within the management’s hands.

After all, BBB cannot be known as an appealing attraction. This is bad for the future business of a program that will run until 2028. And not even the people like excessive fights anymore.
