Stoiximan Super League: Test in Tripoli and Peristeri for Volos and PAS

by

Their own battle to stay will be given by the teams participating in the Stoiximan Super League playouts.

Volos and PAS are in the danger zone, with the two teams facing a difficult task against Astera Tripoli (away) and Atromitos (in Peristeri), in order not to get further involved in adventures.

From there, Kifissia welcomes OFI and Panaitolikos host Panserraikos, wanting to move away from the relegation zone, where Voliotes and Epirotes are now.

ASTERAS TRIPOLIS – VOLOS

Volos has just one victory in a total of twelve home and away matches against Asteras Tripoli. In fact, the team from Magnesia in its six visits to Arcadia so far has three defeats and three draws, while it has scored in just one of its five matches there. In a 1-1 draw on December 9, 2020.

In their last six home and away games, Asteras Tripoli remains unbeaten with four wins and two draws. In this year’s games of the regular season of the championship, he scored two victories, 2-1 in Volos for the 1st Round and 1-0 in Arcadia.

Only two of their twelve matches have ended without a goal and these are in Tripoli, while the other draw with Asteras is 1-1.

KIFISIA – OFI

Kifisia and OFI have already met four times this season, since in addition to their two matches for the championship, they were also opponents for the “16” of the Greek Cup, where the Cretan team qualified for the next phase with a victory 3-1 in Heraklion and a 1-1 draw in Kaisariani.

The two matches that took place with Kifisia at home ended in a draw, both for the regular duration of the championship (0-0) and for the Greek Cup.

On the other hand, Kifisia managed to beat OFI’s Heraklion for Round B 2-1 and score their first and only away win in the Stoiximan Super League.

The two teams have a past in the distant 2015-16 in the 3rd National Championship, while they met for the Greek Cup in 2022-23. OFI in those three matches between them scored an equal number of victories and in fact the Kifisia team did not manage to score a single goal in the three 90 minutes.

FEARLESS – PAS YANNINA

The last four games between the two teams at both venues have ended in 1-1 draws. The two matches have taken place in Peristeri and the others in the city of Epirus.

If you take out the bracket of Atromitos’ 2-1 win on October 10, 2022, then six of their last seven games have ended in 1-1 draws.

PAS Ioannina’s last away win in Peristeri was on October 31, 2020 with 2-0 thanks to goals from Eleftheriadis and Karga.

The two teams have met for the Playouts process twice, last season when there was a 1-1 draw in Peristeri and in 2020-21 where PAS Ioannina won 1-0 at home.

In the matches that have taken place with Atromitos, there has been a predominance of draws, with nine of the 19 meetings having ended without a winner.

PANAETOLIKOS – PANSERRAIKOS

Only three times has Panaitolikos hosted Panserraikos for the 1st National/Super League and the Agrinio team has the same number of victories, while in the first two they did not even concede a goal. They initially met in the 1975-76 (1-0) and 1976-77 (3-0) seasons and the third was for this year’s championship, with the match ending with a 3-2 victory for Panaitolikos.

In total, however, in six matches in both venues, Panaitolikos has been defeated once (3 wins – 2 draws – 1 loss), while this season there was a 1-1 draw for the First Round at the Toumba stadium and prevailed Panaitolikos with 3-2 in Agrinio.

The two teams also have a history in the second division, with Panaitolikos having six wins, two draws and one loss as a home team against the Serres team.
