PAS deserved its fate, it lost in Peristeri and now… it is suffering! Michalis Grigoriou’s team, although superior throughout the match, conceded two goals against in the flow of the match, equalized the same number of times, but with goals from Vergo in 95′ experienced a 3-2 defeat by Atromitos in the premiere of Stoiximan Super League playouts.
THE Ender at 37′ and o Tzavellas in 61′ the first two goals for his team Sasha Ilyich which reached the 31 degrees. THE Pamlidis with a terrible shot in the 49th minute and Eramuspe with headers from contact the goals of the Epirotes, who remain in the last place of the standings with 18 degrees and they go to six more “finals”, starting with the match against Panaitolikos in Zosimades the following matchday.
In the minds of the coaches:
With a classic 4-3-1-2 said Sasha Ilyich the Fearless. Marchezani sat in goal, with Keshrida, Erlinkmark, Zavella and De Beek in defence. Kuen in a defensive midfielder role with Ender and Konte inside, while Kamara was moving behind the two promoted ones, Andrzejski, Valencia.
On the opposite side, Michalis Grigoriou with the 4-3-3 had Soulis in goal and Osei-Toutou, Eramouspe, Pantelakis, Kiako in the defensive four. Liassos, Rienstra and Gino in the center of the midfield, while Tsimas, Rosero and Pamlidis played in the attack.
The match:
A frantic pace with “good evening” acquired the match with both teams moving the ball at speed, trying to surprise each other. The first moment came in the 4th minute for the visitors, with Roses to exit from the right and make the turn, where o Jim headed the ball to beam.
The Epirotes kept the reins and at 6′ they missed another important moment to take the lead. Another drive from Tutou from the right, from the opposition the ball reached Jima, he crossed and Marchezani blocked the ball, with Manouho initially indicating a goal considering that the Italian goalkeeper of Atromitos did not have time to save the ball. However after checking, the ball was found not to have passed the line with the match continuing normally from the 0-0.
As was normal, the tempo dropped, but PAS maintained the upper hand in ball circulation. The home team came close to scoring for the first time with Ender’s cross to Kamara, who was next to Angelskiimmediately further left and in the area to Kuen, but the latter’s turn was bad with Pantelakis putting a stop.
The two teams threw speeds in the 34′ PAS found another very good opportunity. Rossero again from the right with the spin finding him Pamlidiswho crossed, but after a double counter, Marchezani blocked the ball.
But three minutes later and against the flow of the match, Ilić’s team managed to take the lead. It was a nice counter-attack with Kamara finding Valencia, who lifted his head and saw across and inside the area Enderlifted the ball to him and the Spaniard with a one-piece right-footed shot beat Soulis for the 1-0.
This goal by Atromitos gave the players wings again with the ball moving around a lot, but without any particular threat. Just before half time, the home team almost scored a second goal.
The team of Peristeri won a free kick right in the semi-circle, Tzavellas executed brilliantly with the ball heading towards the “window” of his goal Sullywith the Greek goalkeeper making an impressive save.
THE Michalis Grigoriou made changes at the start of the second half and this benefited PAS who immediately tied the match! After just four minutes of play, Epirotes equalized thanks to a terrific inspiration from Pamlidiswho with a “lightning” outside the area beat Marchezani and did it 1-1giving new hope to his team!
Illic, seeing his team lost on the pitch, made three changes, which changed Atromitos’ philosophy of play. PAS was trying to hit the hosts in the back.
However, again the Peristeri team found a goal out of nowhere 61′. From a foul committed from the left, the ball reached the area, with Soulis clearing, the ball went against a PAS player and Tzavellas before an empty hearth he did it 2-1 for Atromitos.
The pace dropped sharply in the match, but PAS did not stop chasing their luck, missing a huge opportunity to equalize again in 71′. In one of his many actions from the right, Rossero stepped into the home team’s area, took the turn, Pamlidis let the ball pass and the oncoming Gino from contact he sent the ball high out.
The two coaches shuffled the “deck” with him PAS to push for an equaliser. This came in the 85th minute after a good moment by Leo which was impressively saved by Marchezani. So from the corner, Rosales made the cross to the second post where the Eramuspe with a header from contact he put the ball into the net as well as the defense of Atromitos for the 2-2!
PAS played… its change for the reversal and circulated the ball with patience. In the first minute of stoppage time, Karahalios took the ball, went up a few meters and launched a powerful shot which was neutralized by Marchezani.
However, PAS turned into an ideal manual, as in 90’+5′ after Kunte’s balls in the back of the defense, o Vergosovertook Soulis on his way out and qualified for the final 3-2 which basically… condemns Gregory’s team.
MVP: Gold change for Atromitos o Nikos Vergos who gave victory to the Peristeri team, scoring the goal in the 95th minute. In fact, the Greek forward’s goal was… a cross-fielder as his movement was excellent, as was the way he “stung” the ball.
The “whistle”: Bad refereeing by Manouhos in Peristeri. The Greek referee doesn’t seem to trust himself as he only once called a phase and that was wrong, since it was the disallowed goal of Jima in the 6th minute in which the ball had not crossed the line. In most cases the VAR was consulted to ensure his decisions.
