He bent against the superior Iga Sviontekin his final Indian Wells the Maria Sakkari.
In the tenth final of her career, the leading Greek tennis player battled it out and claimed the first set to a tie, which she eventually lost with 6-4while in the second her opponent was stormy, beating me 6-0 and winning the title.
The match got off to a perfect start for the Pole, who broke the first time Sakkari served, taking a 3-0 lead, before Maria fought back, making a break of her own and taking three sets in a row to tie the game at 3-3. However, Sviontek held her serve for 5-4 before closing out the set with her second break.

The picture of the second set was different, with Sakkari appearing affected by the 1-0, easily losing the first two games. At that point in the match Sviontek took advantage of the momentum and dominated, going up 6-0 and celebrating their 19th career title!
