ARIS symbolizes indelible values intertwined with the history of Thessaloniki, but also of Greece, such as – among others – the struggles of our country for freedom and democracy, hence the founding of our Association on March 25, 1914.
It symbolizes the fighting spirit and action of the god Ares, it symbolizes the equality of the leaves, being the first Association in the country whose founding statute explicitly defines the equal participation of women in sports, it symbolizes social solidarity, it symbolizes culture itself.
ARIS in its 110 years of life is still very young and will go very far, being in all the widths and lengths of the earth with proud and fighting fans and friends and continuing to contribute dynamically to the development of society, culture, education, economy of Thessaloniki, but also of the country.
