“When it was time to practice, I wanted to stay at home, in my room. I don’t know what was going on in my head… I got to the point of telling my father that I want to quit. That’s how I felt. What I went through after the World Cup.. I discovered things about myself and about people who lived with me for years. It was crazy. Telling my father all this, the man who chased the dream with me, was crazy. I played in the World Cup at my peak, and then I reached my limit.

I’m not saying I got to the point of thinking about suicide, but I was depressed, I wanted to give up on everything. I only thought bad thoughts. I felt like everything around me was falling apart and talking about it with a psychologist saved me. He saved my life. I saw black everywhere. Now, I can say that if you need a psychologist, see one. It is very important. Psychotherapy is the best thing I’ve ever done in my life”characteristically stated in part of his interview o Richarlison.
