“There was a meeting today. In this meeting we took some decisions. I listened very carefully to all sides. The first thing we must say is that EPO is obliged to comply with the notice. And the announcement is clear: When there is a team from Athens and Thessaloniki, the final takes place in Volos. If the groups agree on something else, we can listen and discuss it. Aris, however, does not accept to play in OAKA.
Since the groups do not agree, we go to Volos, as the announcement says. In Volos, however, based on the new law, conditions must be met, which are currently not met. Many things have to be done, which I find difficult. Today, therefore, the decision of the EPO is final behind closed doors. Panthessaliko cannot host a final with people.
The decision is final. And to change that decision, the stage should be improved so soon that we too can make another decision. However, there are two conditions. One is the unsuitability of the stadium and the other is the fact that Panathinaikos expresses reservations about the number of fans».
Regarding OAKA, he replied: “I told you about OAKA. Aris does not accept to play there, as Panathinaikos used it as a home base. EPO can certainly help financially to improve Panthessaliko».

Earlier, he withdrew from the ongoing meeting for the final of the Greek Cup at the offices of EPO o Achilles Beosemphasizing that he, as the mayor of Volos, is positive – under conditions – for the presence of 15,000 fans in Panthessalikos, he added, however, that the Yannis Alafouzos he was negative about this possibility, wanting more tickets to be given to the teams!

From there, the details are up to the EPO and the teams. So I don’t have a job. I, however, gave the green light for Panthessalikos.
I remain in the same approach regarding the fans in the final, but based on the history of the teams and that they do not have the same rivalry as others, we said under conditions that people should come to Volos. To have approximately 15,000 fans. My proposal is from 4,500 each team to the horseshoes and 5,000 for the EPO to allocate them wherever they want and to give to the teams if he wants.
