The call from the A1 women’s playoff teams 1-4: “Big matches, great athletes, let the world come to SEF”

The playoffs for positions 1-4 in the A1 national women’s table tennis category take place on Saturday with Olympiakos SFP, AEK, Panathinaikos AO and AS Pera Athens (in order of ranking in regular time) and the Federation had of the matches representatives from each team at the press conference to talk about the very interesting process that takes place again in A1 Women after the 2010-2011 season.

On Saturday at 15:00 the semi-finals are Olympiacos-Pera and AEK-Panathinaikos and in a very meaningful discussion with the people of the press all the speakers agreed that the playoffs have big matches in store, with great athletes and they called on the world to go to phallic stage.

The process was attended by the president of E.F.O.E.P.A., Kostas Papageorgiou, who also had to answer some questions, the women’s federal coach, Giorgos Karytsas, the member of the Board of Directors, Xenia Stathis, and Thomas Kousioris, representative of KOUSgroup.

The speakers’ panels were divided into two parts. The press conference began with a presentation on the playoffs and the goals of each team by the coach of Olympiakos, George Christoforakis, and the athletes Dimitra-Thomaida Tsekoura of Pera Athens, Ioanna Gerasimatos of AEK and Konstantina Paridis of Panathinaikos, who also represented the technical staff of their teams, who could not be present.

George Christoforakis: “I’m glad that all the teams are together so we can talk about the playoffs. I wish that there will be beautiful matches and that the best will win”.

Dimitra Tsekoura: “Pera managed to be in the first four teams in a very difficult league. The playoffs offer another glamor to the Greek league and give you the opportunity to constantly strive for the best possible result. This is what we will do now and we are happy to be here.”

Ioanna Gerasimatou: “We aimed to enter the top four. Things turned out differently, we had very good results in the regular season and managed to take second place. The team has two foreign athletes and one Greek, we will fight for everything we can and the best team will win the title”.

Konstantina Paridis: “For us, the playoffs are a new beginning. We want to leave behind the results we had during the year. It is a new effort, we will give the best we can and it goes without saying that we are ‘chasing’ the title”.
