Marousi took the lead (21-25), while Karabelas gave the “yellow and black” a breather with a three-point shot (30-29).

The match was balanced, with the “yellow and black” running a 6-0 that sent them to +4 (39-35). Juston cut to 39-37, while Randle made it 41-37, with Briscoe to score 41-39, which was also the score of the first half.

“Union” did better in the second half, reaching +9 (61-52), however, Maroussi did not give up, improved its performance and came within one shot (63-60), with Agravani succeeding 66-60 and giving the hosts a breather.

Maroussi noticeably improved in the last period, which with a 3-12 managed to take the lead (69-72). The match became a thriller, with the AEK to go to +8 (87-79), which however did not last for… long. The visitors were reduced in shooting (87-84), while the Juston and McRae scored 1/2 shots each and with the score at 88-85, Maroussi had one last chance with Woodard, who missed and AEK got the win.
