Application of the provisions of articles 9 and 14 of Law 5085/2024».
It should be noted that Panathinaikos risks being punished by the DAEB with a monetary penalty and not with closed doorssince it is not provided for by law.
The relevant paragraph, with which the DEAB will impose a punishment on Panathinaikos, states: “6A. The posting of banners or other inscriptions of a political, religious or ideological nature, with abusive, racist or sexist content, is prohibited in the sports facility.
In case of violation of the first paragraph, which is established by the competent police authority, it is imposed by the D.E.A.B. a fine of twenty thousand euros (20,000) for each banner in the sports association, or in the Department of Paid Athletes (TAA), or in the Anonymous Sports Company (A.A.E.), whose fans hung the banner».
