“Stop whistling…thieves!”: Panathinaikos’ caustic announcement about the refereeing of the 1st final

by

The first step towards winning the A1 Women’s basketball title was taken by Olympic on Sunday afternoon (14/04), beating me score 72-69 of Panathinaikos in SEF’s auxiliary, in Game 1 of the series.

Shortly after the end of the match, Amateur Panathinaikos issued one caustic and angry announcement against the refereeing of the 1st final, making a direct attack on EEC and Vangelis Liolios.

In fact, along with the said announcement, the “greens” also published two videos from disputed phases about which they complain.

The announcement of Amateur Panathinaikos in detail:

“Panathinaikos A.O. … it bothers him that this year he is also a contender for the championship in the women’s basketball league and so when he can’t bend competitively other means are used.

As you can see, the SEF law is timeless in terms of refereeing regardless of whether the matches take place in the main hall or in the surrounding halls and it doesn’t matter if men or women compete. The bottom line is that Panathinaikos loses somehow, either by the Olympiakos, or from unions products of mergers.

In the meantime, today we witnessed yet another inexplicable refereeing that had the purpose somehow in the end to bring the match to the… ace. All this certainly weighs on the EEC and Mr. Liolios.

Especially when Panathinaikos was ahead with 60-64 (2.04′ before the end) Tiganis “cooked” a clean offensive foul by Tobin on Sotiriou, in defense and at the same time took her out of the game.

Then again Tiganis charged Cvitkovic with a 5th non-existent foul on Alain’s shots and thus they quickly put Olympiakos back in the match. A total of ten shots were whistled in favor of Olympiakos in the last two minutes.

And because a few words are sugar and no honey, we are quoting to the sports fans the disputed phases…”.
