For the men, the lead in the first phase of the Panhellenic Goalball Championship was decided on goal difference, with Cleo Thessaloniki tied with Hephaistos and Ionas on 9 points, with last year’s champions taking the lead on goal difference.
In the semi-final, however, Keravnos did the upset, defeated Cleo 13-8 and deprived its players of being in the final and doing “back to back”.
In the final, the other team from Thessaloniki, Ifaistos, who prevailed in the other semi-final of Iona, faced Keraynos, where they prevailed after an exciting game 15-10 and won the championship. With last year’s champions defeating Iona in the “small” final and taking the bronze medal.
